New era for td-net

 
 

td-net is pleased to welcome Christoph Küffer, Professor of Settlement Ecology at the University of Applied Sciences of Eastern Switzerland, as the new president of the td-net. The team is excited to see what challenges will be met under the new presidency and what successes will be achieved in networking between universities and universities of applied sciences with Christoph Küffer as the link to the them.

td-net also bids farewell to long-time president Jakob Zinsstag, who set many milestones and achieved many successes for td-net. Many thanks for this great commitment!

The team also congratulates Ulrike Sturm for her new function in the FoLAP and is looking forward to continued good cooperation with her. Go to press release (in German)

Die ITD-CH22 Tagung am 7. September 2022 zum Thema «Zukunftsbilder entwickeln und reflektieren – Wie kann TD-Forschung helfen, gesellschaftliche Vorstellungsräume zu erweitern?» ist in Vorbereitung. Wir freuen uns auf einen Austausch über Erfahrungen im Umgang mit Bildern, Geschichten, Visionen und Vorstellungen „wünschenswerter Zukünfte“ in transdisziplinären Prozessen.


Le colloque ITD-CH22 du 7 septembre 2022 sur le thème «Développer et réfléchir à des imaginaires d'avenir - Comment la recherche TD peut-elle aider à élargir les espaces imaginaires de la société ?» est en préparation. À cette occasion, nous nous réjouissons de pouvoir échanger sur les expériences sur le traitement des images, des histoires, des visions et des représentations des «futurs souhaitables» dans le cadre de processus transdisciplinaires.

Research Earth 

 
 

For the first time, a new digital map called "research-earth" comprehensively shows Switzerland's diverse research partnerships with institutions in developing and transition countries. With such research partnerships, Switzerland contributes to dealing with global challenges and their local impact. The map makes it easier to establish new partnerships, make use of synergies and identify focal points of cooperation. The map was developed by the KFPE and the r4d programme. It can be constantly updated with additional projects and is freely accessible to all. Go to map

 
 


 
 

SOR4D - New research programme for sustainable development

 
 

The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and the Swiss National Science Foundation have launched a new joint research programme called Solution-oriented research for development (SOR4D) that will run from 2022 to 2026. The first call for projects will be launched in the first quarter of 2022. More information

Seed Grants for participatory citizen science projects

 
 

The Participatory Science Academy (Partizipative Wissenschaftsakademie, PWA) aims to promote the participation of citizens in science and research and to enable UZH and ETHZ researchers to conduct joint research together with citizens at eye level. Teams of academic researchers from UZH and/or ETHZ and citizens are given the opportunity to develop and/or carry out a participatory research project.

Postdoc academy for Transformational Leadership

 
 

With this year’s focus topic "Racing to climate justice? Debating the multiple temporalities of just transformations", the program provides an intensive training with four seminars in two years that broaden the research competencies of early-career researchers. Seed funding to groups of participants planning to initiate research collaborations will also be offered and an active network of current and former participants will be established.

Mountain Research and Development invites contributions for a focus issue on knowledge collaborations between academic and local knowledge holders. Papers should explore how mountain researchers and Indigenous Peoples or other holders of place-based knowledge can collaborate to guide knowledge creation and application. Contributions by scientists and Indigenous or other local knowledge holders are equally welcome.

Rootlinks is recruiting students for the course of the spring semester 2022.
