New & Updated Blog Posts:

This Month I have been on a role with writing my thoughts and sharing them through blog posts. As I was in the Psychiatry M3 clerkship, I had a meaningful time to reflect and talk with individuals struggling every day with the most significant taboos in our society. From substance use, to psychosis, to ECT, to suicide...no topic was left unscathed. Therefore, I hope you enjoy the various blogs I have posted and updated for the community.

September I spent a month in Psychiatry  and I LOVED IT!

Week 1- PM ED Shift working with patients in Acute Psychosis or in Suicide Crises to determine if they needed to be voluntary or involuntary held at the hospital for their safety

Week 2- Interdisciplinary Substance Use Intervention Team throughout the Hospital to help individuals withdrawing and see if they were ready to start substance recovery treatment

Week 3 & 4 was a mix of:

In-Patient Psychiatric Wards (Mood Floor and High Needs Floor)

Out-Patient Women’s Clinic (see my office above where I was the psychiatrist for the day 😍)

Helped conduct ECT Treatments- blog post coming soon!

This month went by in a blink of an eye!

On weekends my husband, Jonah, and I enjoyed going to a new dog park where Eclipse (German Shepherd) & Midnight (Husky) could explore while we studied.

More of our fur-babies on Instagram:  @huskyshepherdsiblings

Jonah has been working on his MRI-AI brain research project in a new Neurology Lab! He also has been preparing to submit his residency application to Neurology! Wish & pray that he gets interviews in Chicago! 🙏
