Summer is ending once again. It has been a fantastic summer in Provence. Thanks to a period of rain in May/early June, nature has largely been able to recover. The summer started with lush greenery and beautiful blooming flowers and shrubs. Temperatures this summer have been very pleasant, mostly reaching around 26°C to 28°C at most. There have been no wildfires in the area, and the off-road hiking and biking trails have remained mostly accessible. Mid-August and early September brought us a heatwave. It was scorching hot throughout Provence, but at Résidence Château Ferrassières, especially in the summer, it's always a few degrees cooler than in the lower-lying villages like Montbrun-les-Bains and Sault. | | | |

| | | | | The place to be!
There's almost always a breeze here, and there are plenty of shaded spots under the trees where it's comfortable to relax. Swinging in the hammock or lounging on a deck chair with a book is a real treat.

Our indoor pool is also ideal during the heat. All the sliding doors are open so you can go seamlessly from inside to outside, where it's not hot, and there are no insects thanks to the screen doors. Furthermore, even on the warmest nights, it cools down nicely at this altitude.

However, we are heading towards autumn. Autumn is a delightful time to explore the surroundings. The trees and shrubs are slowly changing color into a magnificent palette of autumn hues. The light during this period is enchanting, especially at the end of the day. Nuts, berries, (tame) chestnuts abound. Grapes are being harvested. And after the first rains, mushrooms will start sprouting. The rain usually falls in the evenings. | |

Work in progress
At Résidence Château Ferrassières, there are some renovation projects scheduled for this autumn
On October 9th, we will begin installing a new roof between the old and the new building (Orangerie) where the pool is located. This renovation is expected to be completed by October 14th. During the work, a few directly adjacent apartments have been temporarily taken out of the rental due to potential noise disturbance. However, the other apartments can still be rented. You can still use the pool, saunas, and jacuzzi, but the pool area may only be accessible from the outside on a few days.
A larger renovation is planned for early November. Therefore, from Monday, November 6th, until Friday, December 1st, 2023, the residence will be closed. Our guests are welcome again from December 1st. Of course, we will be reachable by email or phone during the closure. Special Offer!
To compensate for any inconvenience and the fact that we will be temporarily closed, we are offering a special discount of up to 20% for stays between October 7th and November 5th, 2023. Please note that this period includes the autumn holidays.

| | | | | What truly makes our residence special to visit in autumn is undoubtedly the presence of deer. It's the mating season. During this period, they are present in large numbers around the property, and the chances of seeing them are high, especially in the evening when you can definitely hear them roaring.

| | How extraordinary it is to see and/or hear the deer from your balcony or from the jacuzzi!

Nature enthusiasts, seekers of tranquility, and, of course, many cyclists and hikers find their way to us to embark on the most beautiful journeys. The stunning panoramic route through the Gorges de la Nesque is highly recommended.
And, of course, Mont Ventoux. As is the case every year in September, many sports enthusiasts will conquer Mont Ventoux for one of the many good causes
In our residence, we have various cycling and hiking route maps for you, as well as brochures about other activities and attractions in the area. There is so much to see and do. There are still fun annual markets, such as the annual mushroom festival on Sunday, October 8th, in our neighboring village, St. Trinit. | |

Getting Married in Provence
