A message from the director:

"Christ's miracles were not the suspension of the natural order but the restoration of the natural order. They were a reminder of what once was prior to the fall and a preview of what will eventually be a universal reality once again--a world of peace and justice. Timothy Keller

We, with our world partners, long to see justice restored and righteousness prevail.

Points for immediate prayer and support

Myanmar - it is now 2 years since the Military Coup has taken control of the country. Citizens within the country are living in constant fear and are suffering under the regime. Please continue to pray for our partners in this country, pray for their protection and provision in such difficult circumstances.

Some of the photographs coming from our partners in Myanmar show the destruction of buildings (churches included) in this country and the difficulties that children have had to face receiving schooling when under attack from airstrikes.

Bangladesh

Your prayers are appreciated for the 5 month old son of our MI Partner’s Co Worker who has been suffering from Pneumonia. Please pray for his recovery and that his medical expenses will be met.
We want to also give thanks for the gospel going out to unreached peoples via the ministry of our MI partner. It was a real encouragement to hear of the pictured baptism that took place.

Democratic Republic Congo (DRC)

The situation in the Eastern Border area of this country is still causing grave danger to the many displaced groups of people fleeing their homes due to the activity of M23 rebels. Please pray for agencies who are supporting people who are so desperate for food, shelter and safety. Our own MI Partner in this country appreciates your support and prayers for his ministry in reaching out to so many needy people. Please pray for peace in this part of the country and protection to those who are affected.

Malawi:

Southern Malawi has been struck yet again by another tropical cyclone bringing devastation to so many. Cyclone Freddy is the most powerful ever recorded and has brought devastation to the South.  Even the city of Blantyre has been badly struck with severe flooding. Many lives have been lost and many thousands of people are being sent to emergency rescue camps whee food, clean water and medical care are almost non-existent . Malawi’s government has announced a state of emergency. The MI Partner and his family are now staying in an emergency camp. Food aid is required to help those in need. If you can help, then please donate online here :

Haiti

Mission International has sent a team to Haiti on 20th March to continue the work there with Trinity Church and Pastor Rolex Poisson. Over the last few years we have been blessed by the completion of the Trinity School, however more space is needed there for more children to attend and there is need for classrooms at another school in Beyotte a short distance away. Haiti is facing some really significant challenges at the moment, so your prayers for Ross, Vic, Roddy  and Richard would be much appreciated as they travel and if you can also spare some money to support the building of the new classrooms, you can donate online here:  https://www.stewardship.org.uk/pages/HaitiSchool
