Die DTHG Lounge ist der Netzwerk-Hotspot der SHOWTECH. Mit dem Foodtruck und der Getränkestation gibt es hier Platz für eine kleine Auszeit und Austausch in entspannter Atmosphäre. Was wäre das SHOWTECH-Comeback ohne einen Blick zurück auf die bewegte Geschichte der Theatertechnikmesse? Unsere SHOWTECH History-Ausstellung nimmt Sie mit auf eine Zeitreise in die 1980er Jahre, zu den Anfängen der SHOWTECH. Erstmalig wurde die sie vom 15. bis zum 17. August 1984 von der Messe Berlin veranstaltet, um dem Boom in der Theatertechnik eine Plattform zu bieten. Wie das Format von einer Nischenveranstaltung zum fixen Termin für internationale Theatermenschen avancierte und warum die Messe trotzdem 2013 aus dem Messegeschehen verschwand, erfahren Sie bei uns vor Ort in einer reich bebilderten Ausstellung.

Unsere traditionelle Messeparty SHOWTECH Night findet am 6. Juni im BRLO BRWHOUSE statt und ist ein Networking-Highlight für Expert:innen der internationalen Theaterbranche in exklusiver Atmosphäre. Direkt im Anschluss an die Verleihung des SHOWTECH PRODUCT AWARDs können sich Aussteller und Fachbesucher auf ein Buffet und Getränkeangebot der Spitzenklasse freuen. Am Abend des ersten Kongress-Tages laden wir alle Teilnehmenden zu einem kleinen Get-together mit Snacks und Getränken ein. In ungezwungener Atmosphäre lassen wir den Tag und die spannenden Diskussionen Revue passieren.

When you enter the fair, you will receive a sticker that you can place on our voting wall for your favourite product. The winning product will receive the SHOWTECH PRODUCT AWARD Audience Award on 6 June! The DTHG Service Point is also a meeting point for press people and offers space for interviews.

The Innovation Spot is all about the topics of tomorrow. At our Vision Board we collect your wishes for the DTHG as a professional association and your thoughts on the future of our industry. We look forward to a creative exchange with you. In line with this, we will present the offers of the DTHG education stage, such as the "ETTE basic qualification for safe work on stage". One focus will be on "immersive technologies in theatre", such as the virtual construction rehearsal. Our digital expert Vincent Kaufmann will be happy to advise you. The DTHG Lounge is the networking hotspot of SHOWTECH. With the food truck and drinks station, there is space here for a little downtime and exchange in a relaxed atmosphere. In addition, we will show the wonderful photo exhibition Im Rampenlicht (In the spotlight) by Jochen Quast, one of the most important theatre photographers in Germany. With a brief snapshot, his photography provides an impressive insight into the performances of the ensembles and the great diversity of theatre work.

What would the SHOWTECH comeback be without a look back at the theatre technology fair's eventful history? Our SHOWTECH History exhibition takes you on a journey back in time to the 1980s, to the beginnings of SHOWTECH. It was first organised by Messe Berlin from 15 to 17 August 1984 to provide a platform for the boom in theatre technology. You can find out how the format advanced from a niche event to a fixed date for international theatre people and why the fair nevertheless disappeared from the trade fair scene in 2013 in a richly illustrated exhibition at our venue.

Our traditional trade fair party SHOWTECH Night will take place on 6 June in the BRLO BRWHOUSE and is a networking highlight for experts from the international theatre industry in an exclusive atmosphere. Directly after the SHOWTECH PRODUCT AWARD ceremony, exhibitors and trade visitors can look forward to a top-class buffet and drinks. On the evening of the first day of the congress, we invite all participants to a small get-together with snacks and drinks. In an informal atmosphere we will review the day and the exciting discussions.
