Building up the literacy around a topic provides students with the language they need to express understanding. Conditional highlighting can enable the creation of a question and answer style quiz. If a student inputs the correct answer, the cell turns green, giving them instant feedback.

Tech Tip: Translating text, voice, conversations and photo text using the Translate app

Translating words or sentences to a variety of languages can be accessed in apps such as Notes, Pages, Keynote etc. By highlighting a word or sentence and then tapping on ‘Translate’ you can translate to a selected language.

Alternatively you can open the Translate app and type, speak or use the camera feature to translate. Super handy with ESL students, Languages lessons and when travelling✈️. Tap here to find out more about the Translate app.
