It was a different Canada Day for most of us this year, and I hope how ever you celebrated the holiday, you stayed cool and safe!
I am officially open for business! We appreciate your patience while my colleague and I sort out our timing and the sharing of our space. Limiting our hours so that we are not working at the same time will reduce the amount of people in our Studio at one time and will help keep everyone safe and healthy. The limited services I am currently offering are: Pedicures, Manicures, Reflexology and Lower Body Waxing. Services for above the shoulders will have to wait until we have the go ahead from Public Health to open the next phase..
While you wait to hear from me to reschedule, you can let me know if you are running low on any retail products; please email me a list and we can arrange a time for pick up/delivery. For your convenience and safety, I am accepting e-transfers for payment. FYI, ALL of my products packaging are disinfected for your safety prior to delivery to your door.

Maskne

There are lots of causes for acne on the face, and now with Covid 19 here for the past 4 months we are seeing an increase of breakouts on the skin along the jawline, lower cheeks and neck. The new name is called “Maskne" (mask+acne), which is what seems to be happening to those who are wearing masks for prolonged periods of time. The increased heat and friction or pressure from the mask rubbing on the skin can lead to an increase in oil production, blocked pores and breakouts, especially for those with more sensitive/reactive skin.
What can you do? Home care is key right now, until we can do facials again. Ensure that you are using a pH balanced cleanser (Yonka has 4 to choose from) and wash twice a day, exfoliate (Yonka Gommage or Guaranna Scrub) and use a clay mask (Yonka has 2 formulas based on skin type) 1-2 times a week to help detoxify and balance the skin.
