Trinity calls The Rev. Robert B. Henderson

I am thrilled to announce that the vestry of Trinity has called the Rev. Bob Henderson, as the first Rector of our parish in Fuquay Varina.

We do so with the blessing of Bishop Sam Rodman, Canon Catherine Massey and Maria Gillespie who heads up finance at the diocese.

Father Bob, and his wife Charlotte, are originally from the great state of Mississippi and are childhood sweethearts. They both studied at the University of Mississippi - Bob studied business and law while Charlotte studied music.

They currently live in Alabama with their 3 rescue dogs. Bob has been Rector at St. James in Eufaula, AL, Trinity in Wetumpka, AL and is currently at St. Matthias in Tuscaloosa, AL. He comes to Trinity with a wealth of experience

Bob and Charlotte are in the process of selling their property in Titus, AL and will be moving to the Raleigh area, where they have family, at the end of January 2022. Bob will start at Trinity on March 1, 2022.

Mother Susan Keedy, our interim Rector wrote:

"Congratulations to the Vestry which has done such wonderful work.  Serving as the search committee for Trinity Church they have hired Father Bob Henderson as the first permanent Rector of Trinity Church, Fuquay-Varina.  This is the successful culmination of four years of hard work on the part of all the members of this magnificent corner of God’s Kingdom.  I could not possibly be more excited for you, each and every one of you!  You have been faithful stewards of this place for the past 65, that’s really sixty-five years, and you have reached a goal that had only been dreamed of in the past.  2022 will see the installation of Trinity’s first permanent Rector.  I am so thrilled for all of you.  Your work, your love, and your energy has made my assignment here a success.  I will always keep my eyes on Trinity because I know great things are still to come.  God has certainly blessed us all with a double portion of His strength and good will.  May He continue to do so long into the future."

We have much to look forward to in 2022……………..Thanks be to God!

In Peace
