We hope you are well and look forward to Blues Heaven - "15 Years in Heaven"

There are still thoughts about how the music industry will get through 2021.

Can there only be 500 or 1,000 people due to restrictions?

If this is the case in November, then the first ticket buyers will have 1st priority and other tickets will be refunded or transferred to 2022..

It is no secret that Covid-19 has given a difficult situation with all our planned activities canceled. Which has meant that there has been no income and unfortunately we did not qualify for any government relief packages 😥

The complete lineup for Blues Heaven Festival, 12th - 13th November, Arena Nord, Frederikshavn, Denmark.

For the 15th year, Denmark's most prominent multi-award-winning blues & soul festival will again deliver a high-caliber music program with a range of styles from both Grammy and American Blues Music Award (BMA) winning artists. Creating the exceptional and heartwarming atmosphere that always arises when the stars and an international music-loving audience meet. The previous year's festival attracted audiences from 17 different countries and saw all local hotels sold out several months in advance.

About the festival:

Blues Heaven Festival is a world-renowned festival. In 2018 was named "Best International Festival of the Year" by the French online magazine Zicazic and, in January 2019, awarded "2nd Best Festival in the World" by Polish magazine Twój Blues. In addition, Blues Heaven Festival organiser Peter Astrup won "Hoochie Coochie Man of the Year" in 2018 at the Danish Music Awards. In January 2020, Peter received this year's award for "Keeping the Blues Alive" in Memphis, Tennessee. This award is the highest accolade that can be granted to any non-musicians and has only ever been awarded 3 times in the past to people outside of the United States.

We hope you're looking forward to this year's musical highlights and Europe's largest event of blues/soul music.

BLUESNEWS ARTICLE

"Blues Heaven 2021 takes shape" is how editor Jakob Wandam starts his article and continues: "In 2020, Denmark's largest blues festival, Blues Heaven in Frederikshavn, had to be canceled due to the corona pandemic. Peter Astrup Blues Productions had otherwise put together an impressive festival program not just once, but twice .. ”

TRIP TO THE USA

Due to the Covid-19, the 2020 and 2021 guided blues trip to the states was canceled. Fortunately, it is so much better in the US, and finally possible to make the trip in 2022. We have booked with our American partners, and everyone is looking forward to meeting 25 happy blues lovers. There is a limited number of seats, so it is the "first come, first served" principle.

14 days / 12 nights • Round trip from 27th of April - 10th of May 2022
Flights, hotels, buses, and entrance tickets are included.

The trip departs from Billund Airport, Denmark, but all European airports with KLM departures to Amsterdam can be adapted. The main language is Danish, but if English is needed, it is also possible.

Follow in  Robert Johnson, B.B. King and Elvis' footsteps, when we, among other things, visit The B.B. King Museum in Indianola, Sun Studios, and Graceland in Memphis. Whether you are like Elvis or not, it will take about 5 hours to experience something you did not think was possible, and it is like coming back to the mid-70s USA. It will make a big impression on EVERYONE.

We're also going to the biggest music festival, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. The lineup is public in January, this is simply a gem of the world's most terrific blues, rock, soul, jazz and Americana. Not found anywhere else.

Also look forward to participating in the most significant blues happening "Blues Music Awards” in Memphis. Here the world's best blues & soul musicians meet, it will be one of the great experiences, located just down the street from historic Beale Street.

The tour guide, blues-promoter Peter Astrup, is the force behind the legendary Djurs Bluesland festival and internationally award-winning Blues Heaven festival. Peter  have traveled in this fantastic area for many years and will on this tour showcase places that not are generally known.
