Short video published: Resource-oriented aperitif

Earwig - aquatic research: The obligation to connect to the centralized infrastructure as well as a lack of implementation knowledge are considered killer arguments against decentralized and resource-oriented sanitation systems in Switzerland. But is this really the case? Young researchers at Eawag integrated results from various projects across disciplines as part of the Wings research program and summarized them in a vivid short video (german, french and English subtitles). SCTO - Video concerning Patient and Public involvement

One of our most important strategic objectives is to increase the involvement of patients and the public (PPI) in academic clinical research. By actively helping to shape the goals, design, and evaluation of research projects, patients and representatives of the public can play a role in improving clinical research and help to further the dialogue between the research community and those affected by research. LBG OISC Research Ethics Services und Pilot-Ethics Committee officially launched

For medical research, Austria legally mandates formal review by an ethics committee. But ethical questions are equally relevant for research projects that do not fall under these legal regulations. The Ethics Committee offers advice and support for researchers on all ethical aspects of involving patients and members of the public in research. More Information

Topic Line 2 - Scientific Effects: Call for Fellows

So far, only little research exists on scientific effects of transdisciplinary research. There is extensive literature on (and critique of) indicators that measure scientific impact, as well as recurring claims that these indicators do not adequately capture the broad effects of transdisciplinary research. However, insights into the effects of transdisciplinary research on science are scarce. Therefore, we invite applications for a fellow group to work on these topics.
