Stories of transformations to sustainability: new films launched online

The Transformations to Sustainability (T2S) programme has launched a series of short films that are available to watch online. Six films present insights from specific projects, showing how they worked with communities in diverse places around the world to understand the complex relations between social structures, the material world and environmental and social change. A longer film explores some of the difficult questions around transformations to sustainability and proposes approaches to tackling the defining challenge of our times. The films are in English with subtitles available in many different languages.

The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research BMBF has funded German research institutes in five out of the twelve projects in this programme. Find out more about these projects on BMBF Research for Sustainability website and on the programme website. More information

Practice-based research of interdisciplinary higher education: Call for papers

Humanities & Social Sciences Communications: The higher-education landscape is changing toward increasingly societally engaged models that re-position disciplinary silos. This generates questions about ‘what works’ in interdisciplinary higher education. The literature about it is currently scattered and research gaps are hard to identify, define, and defend. There is a need for improving publication possibilities for practice-based projects using interdisciplinary teaching and learning as input.
