This festival is Europe’s largest ceramics festival which is held at Aberystwyth Arts Centre on the campus of Aberystwyth University on the mid-Wales coast. Since it began in 1987, the three-day festival has grown to become one of the world's leading ceramics events.

The INTERNATIONAL CERAMICS STUDIO will again be in the trade area at this years festival. If you want to come and discuss residency opportunities and courses at this unique ceramic centre we will be pleased to meet you.

KECSKEMÉT - ABERYSTWYTH RESIDENCY AWARD 

 
 
 
 
 
 

We are pleased to announce the 2023 
RESIDENCY AWARD
 recipient is NATASHA MAYO. Mayo is a researcher, writer, practitioner, and since 2004, senior lecturer in ceramics at Cardiff School of Art and Design. She has achieved national and international acclaim for her ceramic practice and written over 30 articles for journals.

We thank all the artists who applied for this award. The standard of the applications was very high and and made for a difficult decision.

SERGEI ISUPOV 

Isupov first worked at the International Ceramics Studio in 1993 and then again in 2007. Sergei says "The essence of my work is not in the medium or the creative process, but in the human beings and their incredible diversity."

Jane Hamlyn MBE

THEODORA CHORAFAS

Theodora was an artist in residence in 1999. “It is not my artist’s background but rather the unknown that leads the way. I seek to listen to the vastness of the present moment and this situation opens new spaces where one can be transformed.’

MODELS AND MOULDS with Ilona Romule

The major elements in the creation of porcelain slip cast objects.
