Opening by András B. Szilágyi art historian.

Welcome speech by Mária Geszler Kossuth Prize-winning ceramicist, member of the Hungarian Academy of Arts.

"György Fusz - although the romantic flavours of his sculptures are undeniable - makes it clear that porcelain and pyrogranite are as much a material condemned to be moved out of formlessness as anything that can be made to convey ideas.”
- Tamás Aknai

Ukraine Artist Residency Fund
YURIY MUSATOV

Thanks to the generous donations made by artists for the studio to sponsor an artist from Ukraine to work in peace and security in our centre.

We welcomed Yuriy Musatov to the studio where he made a seres of work reflecting on his experiences of the current situation in his country. The completed works were exhibited in our Kápolna Gallery before transferring to exhibit in Budapest.

Yuriy Musatov is a ceramist from the younger generation who has already established himself as a professional representative of contemporary Ukrainian artistic ceramics. He is reconsidering the traditional ways of working with ceramics in Ukraine.

Liubov Nepop, Ukraine Ambassador to Hungary opened of Yuriy Musatov's individual exhibition at Kápolna.

We wish to sincerely thank those artists who gave generously for this to happen, especially Sue Maufe and Yulia Repina.

LAKATOS ÁBEL

Ábel Lakatos's solo exhibition entitled Birthplace allowed visitors to view his sculptures made of clay fired at different temperatures, which are his favourite and hold pleasant memories.
