Erich Biehle

Born in 1941 in Lucerne, Switzerland, Erich Biehle is a well-known designer and artist. He was a student of famous Swiss artist Johannes Itten at the Zurich University of Arts and graduated from the Swiss Textile School Zurich.

Erich started an international career as a textile designer, first in the U.S.A. and later in Paris where he created designs for the top fashion houses of the world such as Balenciaga, Givenchy, Yves Saint Laurent, Pierre Cardin, Lanvin, Jean Louis Scherrer, Dior, and Ungaro. As marketing and design director of Bally International, Erich was responsible for a successful relaunch of the brand.

Urs Jaermann

Born 1957 in Lausanne, Switzerland, Urs Jaermann didn’t go to an art school because his parents wanted to avoid the situation of ending in poverty as they had witnessed with many artists, one even in the family. Ironically, some art of his grand uncle who never made enough money with his paintings, has been exhibited in the Museum of Art Basel.

The closest industry to art was advertising and Urs started an international career in ad agencies (Young & Rubicam, McCann Erickson) and became managing director and head of strategic planning. Urs also worked together with Erich Biehle at Bally International and was responsible for global marketing communication.

Urs works with acrylic on canvas and creates 11-color prints on paper, created with his fingers on an iPad. His work is influenced by a conceptual approach.
