Euro Blech 2018
Bilsing Automation will exhibit the latest collaborative development in composite automation solutions with CompoTech.  The 789 axis is a development of composite structure for use in press line automation. Together with intelligent solutions for the transport of parts in press shop 4.0, Bilsing will present in cooperation with KUKA the new development of KUKA Cobra.

JIMTOF 2018
This November CompoTech makes its biannual trip to Tokyo for the Japanese Machine tool trade show, JIMTOF.   Fukuda, our Japanese partners, are exhibiting at the show.  They will share the latest composite machine tool developments including a composite spindle and spindle motor.

Novel Composite Aileron Development
Czech aerospace manufacturer, Aero, has rolled-out the latest phase of its new trainer jet L-39NG.  The new design has featured a development project with CompoTech.   The project has worked on the structure design and production process of the aileron but has potential for other aerospace structures.

The beginning of 2018 saw the introduction of 2 new boats going into production with CompoTech rigs.  The  the Seascape 14 and Liteboat XP.  It is also an exciting time for our long time partners, Devoti. World Sailing announced that the D-Zero is shortlisted for inclusion in the 2024 Paris Olympics.  It will be assessed against other single handed dinghies as a potential replacement to the Laser.  The final decision is to be made in November 2018. 

Defence Projects
In the last year CompoTech has worked on many developments within the defence sector.  Ultimately to apply the properties of carbon fibre, stiffness and light weight, to the performance and increase the usability and function of a wide range of parts.  This includes RPG and rifle barrels as well as ATV bridges.  In each case we have worked with the customer to develop a process the semi-finished product which is finished and sold by our customer.

Composite Gearbox Research
Decrease mass by 25% and to reduce the noise thanks to the higher vibration damping.  These are the goals of the collaborative project looking at the design and production of a hybrid metal - composite gearbox.  The project involves Compo Tech, Czech Technical University in Prague, Korea Institute of Machinery and Materials and SAMYANG reduction gear Co. LTD  working together.  Financial support from the Czech Technology Agency
