März 2020, Technische Universität Berlin, Deutschland Transdisziplinarität als institutionelle Herausforderung für Universitäten Die Fachtagung richtet sich an Personen, die sich über Erfahrungen mit der Institutionalisierung von TD in universitären Strukturen austauschen bzw. sich über entsprechende Möglichkeiten und Herausforderungen informieren möchten. Herzlich willkommen sind ausserdem Vertreterinnen und Vertreter von Fördermittelgebern oder Stiftungen bzw. von Bundes- oder Landesministerien, die entsprechende Initiativen von Universitäten unterstützen. NEWS FROM THE COMMUNITY New opportunity for early-career researchers The National Socio-Environmental Synthesis Center’s (SESYNC) Education Program announces a new opportunity for early-career researchers to examine natural, social, and actionable science approaches to various socio-environmental themes. The program can be explored > here. Under this program, SESYNC will hold a series of stand-alone workshops designed to share S-E approaches to a broad array of disciplinary perspectives and to teach the skills needed to conduct S-E research. The first workshop of this series, “S-E Approaches to Watershed Management and Governance,” will be held February 18–21, 2020 in Annapolis, Maryland. 2. Schweizer Landschaftskongress: Dialog über Grenzen hinweg Am 2. Schweizer Landschaftskongress vom 19. bis 20. Oktober 2020 in Lausanne geht es um Grenzen – im Raum und in den Köpfen. Mit einem «Dialog über Grenzen hinweg» werden während zwei Tagen Grenzen überwunden und damit die Zusammenarbeit für die gemeinsame Weiterentwicklung der Landschaft angeregt. Für die Parallelveranstaltungen und den Markplatz gesucht sind strittige Beiträge von Tandems oder Kleingruppen aus Politik, Praxis, Forschung und Lehre, die Grenzen thematisieren oder grenzüberschreitend denken. Swiss Summer Academy in Palliative Care Research The research network Palliative Care Research Switzerland is organizing a Summer Academy for post-/doctoral researchers and academics involved in research projects. Seed Grants from the Participatory Science Academy The second call for Seed Grants from the Participatory Science Academy (Partizipative Wissenschaftsakademie, PWA) is open: The PWA aims to promote the participation of citizens in science and research and seeks to enable UZH and ETHZ researchers and citizens to conduct joint research. To this end, the PWA awards Seed Grants for the development and/or implementation of participatory citizen science projects. Teams of academic researchers from UZH and/or ETHZ and citizens are given the opportunity to jointly develop and/or carry out a co-created research project.
