Welcome to Data issue 51

Hello and welcome to the latest issue of Data.

As another year draws to a close, we look back on some fantastic projects that we have been privileged to work on and look forward to a short period of rest, relaxation, Christmas festivities and a joyous New Year – before starting all over again!

We have completed a large number of sites in the last two months as our retail clients get ready for the busy Christmas trading period — three of which are featured in this issue — all delivered successfully and on time. We wish all our clients every success at this busy time and hope that we can continue the relationships that we have enjoyed with you all, in to 2020.

We are grateful to have worked with some great people throughout 2019 and would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a peaceful Christmas and happy New Year.

Finally, if you have any questions or would like more information about the services we offer don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Olivia von Halle

In October we were approached by Sella Concept to fit-out a new concession in Harrods for Olivia von Halle, a luxury nightwear retailer, whose range is sold in over 100 prestigious stores around the globe.

With a deadline of just six weeks to allow the brand to open ahead of the crucial Christmas trading period, the new concept was developed by our setting out department and manufactured in just five weeks, whilst on-site enabling works were carried out during that period.

Our clients — Olivia von Halle, Sella Concept and Harrods — were all delighted with the outcome and, crucially, opening on time.

The concession has been very well received by Harrods’ customers and is trading ahead of expectations.

iSmash London Bridge

Our latest project for iSmash should have started on site nearly two years ago, but had been delayed by structural works at the station.

We finally got on site in October to fit-out a new retail unit ‘under the arches’ in one of the main thoroughfares as you enter London Bridge station, which itself presented a number of challenges in terms of access, deliveries, on-site constraints and interfacing with Network Rail’s building services and life safety systems.

Despite the delays, once on site the project went well and the store opened on time and to budget at the beginning of November. This was our 14th store for iSmash and we are delighted to be part of their impressive expansion programme.

Clogau

The refurbishment of Clogau’s flagship store in St David’s Centre, Cardiff, was completed in October after an extensive six-week refurbishment.

Whilst work was carried out, we relocated Clogau to a pop-up shop and worked with interior designers Innovare to transform the new store that now incorporates Clogau’s new retail identity, with additional features introduced at this flagship site.

At the same time, we worked on two smaller stores at the Bridgend Designer Outlet and a boutique store in Carmarthen, both opening on time for the busy Christmas period.

Over the last two years we have forged close working relationships with Clogau and Innovare, which delivered eight new high-quality stores.
