Innovative open online course on principles, processes and applications of transdisciplinarity

Together with seven universities and institutes of higher education, and the Commission for Research Partnerships with Developing Countries, td-net coordinated and co-produced the first massive open online course (MOOC) on transdisciplinary research.

The course starts on 30 March 2020 and presents transdisciplinary research as a living experience. With a basis on sound theoretical and methodological background, five outstanding projects illustrate promising different ways of dealing with complex societal challenges.

We are convinced that students, researchers and practitioners from all backgrounds should have the opportunity to learn how to do research that helps to overcome societal challenges.

Take the opportunity, the course inscription is open now and free. More

SHAPE-ID preliminary results of literature review

SHAPE-ID is an EU-funded project addressing the challenge of improving inter- and transdisciplinary cooperation between the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences (AHSS) and other Sciences, particularly Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics and Medicine (STEMM) disciplines.

One of SHAPE-ID’s first objectives is to identify the different understandings and factors that help or hinder interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research within and between AHSS and STEMM. To do this, the team is currently undertaking an extensive systematic literature review. The preliminary findings of the literature review to date are now available.  More
