A monthly newsletter of honors and accomplishments
August 2019

UCSF Medical Center was ranked 7th best hospital in the U.S. in the 2019-2020 U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals Survey. Many DOM divisions’ specialty ranking contributed significantly to our health system’s overall success (our divisions make up 8 of the 17 specialties that are ranked) — particularly diabetes and endocrinology (#3), geriatrics (#5), nephrology (#6), rheumatology (#7), pulmonology (#8), GI (tied #11), and cancer (tied #12). See the announcement here.
