CJJR, in partnership with the National Center for Lesbian Rights and Ceres Policy Research, is pleased to announce it is now accepting applications for the third Supporting the Well-Being of System-Involved LGBTQ Youth Certificate ProgramThe program will be held from April 20-24, 2020 at Georgetown University. 

This intensive training opportunity will focus on the challenges faced by LGBTQ youth in child-serving systems (including juvenile justice, child welfare, education and behavioral health), as well as strengths and protective factors common to this population. The program will highlight effective policy and practice reforms that promote positive youth development, and individual modules will target family, community and youth engagement, gender identity and expression, and a multi-system, holistic approach to serving LGBTQ youth.

Partnering with Crossover Youth and Families: Reflecting on 10 Years of the Crossover Youth Practice Model and Envisioning a Path Forward

We will be celebrating 10 years of our Crossover Youth Practice Model, reflecting on its successes and lessons learned to craft the next iteration of the model.

SENIOR RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

The Senior Research Associate will support a variety of technical assistance, data, and research projects to advance policy, practice, and system change in various systems such as child welfare and juvenile justice. The role will require researching, coordinating, and supporting state and local human services organizations in work efforts related to improving outcomes for youth that intersect between multiple systems; strengthening families and communities in support of advancing institutional knowledge about cross-sector collaboration. A large component of this position will include collecting, analyzing, and reporting out on data outcomes and measurements including the development and maintenance of a shared data platform.
