Swiss research for sustainable development needs to propose solutions

If we don't want to miss the UN Sustainable Development Goals, all actors need to be even stronger mobilized in a joint effort, including science. The first UN Global Sustainable Development Report calls for bringing together scientific understandings from all academic fields and for strengthening joint efforts to develop transformational activities among researchers and non-academic stakeholders. Project update

Outcomes of priority topics workshops

How does an economic system work that advances sustainable development? How would a respective concept of well-being look like, and how can such well-being be decoupled from resource consumption? These concerns are among the outcomes of two workshops we held the end of August 2019 for collecting key sustainability issues for Switzerland with experts from science and practice. The results build the basis for developing an agenda for sustainability research. More
