Welcome to our first newsletter of 2020.

Like you, we've been devastated by the recent bushfire events in Victoria, NSW and Queensland.  We hope you have been able to stay safe and not been directly affected.

Back in the office, Richard and I have been reflecting on bushfires in history and if there are any key take away messages.  

In light of these events, I have written an article on the bushfires from our due diligence perspective. It also details our involvement in Victoria’s Powerline Bushfire Safety Taskforce and the continuing committee.

We have also revisited and updated our Safety Due Diligence White Paper and the Powerline Bushfire Safety Taskforce Case Study. We hope you find these interesting and insightful.

We’re looking forward to presenting a number of free webinars in 2020, including on safety, projects, enterprise risk and sustainability. But, we decided to kick off the year with an encore presentation of our Introduction to Engineering Due Diligence webinar. 

This session is perfect for those who want a taste of what Richard & Gaye present at the two-day workshop and what’s covered in our text. And for those interested in a snap shot of what due diligence is and how to engineer it.

Public Workshops with EEA

Our Engineering Due Diligence workshops run in partnership with Engineering Education Australia.  Over two-days you will learn what due diligence is in the eyes of the courts and how an engineering methodology helps improve your decision making and governance to be more effective, safe and compliant.

You’ll also receive a copy of our text and be walked through the principles outlined in it, including real case studies, and have the opportunity to ask questions of one of the leaders in the field - Richard Robinson.

Registrations are open for workshops scheduled in Brisbane (18 & 19 March), Melbourne (13 & 14 May) and Perth (17 & 18 June).
