President's Message:

I am delighted to introduce the inaugural edition of SSA’s newsletter for 2016! This will be a regular feature to keep you updated with the latest happenings across the aquatic fraternity. Do give us your feedback and if possible, do also share with us interesting stories so that we can have your stories published in subsequent editions.

March has been an exciting month for the association with the completion of the 47th Singapura Finance  Singapore National Age Group (SNAG) Swimming Championships. On behalf of the association, I would like to congratulate all participants for their outstanding performances. The SNAG Championships have shown that the future of Singapore swimming is promising, and I look forward to seeing the participants push themselves further and achieve success in future meets.

We also witnessed some explosive water polo action in the pool with the Singapore Water Polo Junior Inter-Club Competition. We are heartened to witness the next generation of water polo players bringing their A-game to the pool. Our pair of synchronized swimmers also did Singapore proud by finishing 25th at the Rio Olympic Games Qualification Tournament in Brazil.

We are all now very excited about the Singapore Swimming Association Awards and Night 2016, which will be held on 23 April 2016 at the Shangri-la Hotel. We will announce the nominees for the various awards soon, so do follow us on our Website, Facebook and Instagram for updates. We look forward to meeting all of you at the awards ceremony where we can toast to a stellar year, and start looking forward and working together for the future of our sport.
