The political circles of Yonkers are now saying that Khader disinvited Spiezio to one of his latest fundraisers and when Spiezio tried to make a large donation, Khader gave Spiezio back his check and was heard saying we do not need your kind of help around here.
Khader who received some bad press for his alleged connection to Joe Spiezio has been making it publicly clear, other than a few lawsuits still pending in which he represents the reputed Deputy Police Commissioner of the MVPD (none having to do with the City of Mount Vernon), he has no dealings and will not be representing Spiezio in the future.
There are those who thought Spiezio was bankrolling Khader's candidacy to get back into Yonkers political circles, that he had been run out of before his takeover of Mount Vernon.
When asked on a local Westchester radio show, Mike Khader informed;
"Let me be clear, Joe Spiezio is not an advisor in my campaign, he's not a consultant to my campaign, and after I will this election and I'm the City Council President, he will not be part of my administration.
