A hot topic in the world of organ donation pertains to Donor Derived or Transmitted Diseases. The ISODP 2015 Congress will dedicate a symposium to exploring the various facets of this current challenge, which will be co-chaired by ISODP President Kimberly Young. Attendees will learn about both bacterial and viral donor-derived infections as well as donor transmitted malignancies during the 90 minutes long session. Prof. Philippe Hantson, Professor of toxicology and intensive care in Louvain, Belgium, will further offer an overview of the published experience with common and less common toxins and will propose guidelines to improve organ donation from this category of donors. Do not miss this exciting session!
