November 20, 2015

Dear Parents, Staff, Students and Community Members:

Thanksgiving Break is November 25th through November 27th with school resuming November 30th.  Please check with the principal of your student’s school should you have additional questions.

Snow and bitter cold are going to impact holiday travel next week, especially in the Tuesday-Wednesday time frame.

A strong low-pressure system is bringing a surge of winter throughout the northern half of the Western US so travel across a large area will be impacted…including air travel.

The change begins on Tuesday for southern Montana and north central Wyoming as a cold front moves south from Canada bringing the coldest air we have seen so far this fall.

Moisture from the low pressure will combine with the cold to bring widespread snowfall for a 24 to 48 hour period.

Specific timing, snowfall amounts and how cold the temperatures will be updated over the weekend but everyone will get a taste of winter and needs to be prepared.  More specific forecasts can be found at weather.gov or you can call 406-652-0851.

I hope you have a safe and happy Thanksgiving week!

Sincerely,

Terry Nelsen Bouck
