In 1969, a variety of unique artists and their music filled the air waves gauging the temperture of the economic and political environment. Music was heavily influenced by Motown with such popular artists as The Supremes, Smokey Robinson, Temptations and many others.  Boy bands topped the charts with artists like The Beach Boys, The Bee Gees and of course The Beatles. Then there was also the heart throbs like Neil Diamond, Marvin Gaye, Tom Jones and The King himself, Elvis. And during this era even television influenced the music with icons such as Bobby Sherman, The Archies, The Monkees and The Jackson 5.  A mix mash of 1969 music with the artists that shaped our culture while still remaining popular today! 

In that same sense of combining different things that have one purpose in 1969 the Horry Georgetown Homebuilders Association brought together a mix mash of associates and builders to form the association.  Joining together and setting an example of standards and ethics to follow to build a better product as well as business environment. And those ethical standards of the past still continue today to help ensure the consumer! 

  

All eighteen of the HGHBA Student Chapter at the Academy of Techology & Academics celebrated  completition of the OSHA 10 Hour course and the NCCER training with a pIzza party hosted by the HGHBA.  Students also received a NAHB Student Chapter T-shirt. Congrats again students… Welcome to the Building Industry!
