Dear Parents, Staff, Students and Community Members,

Due to the generous support of our community, the campuses of Broadwater and McKinley Schools have undergone wonderful transformations during this school year. The work, however, is not complete, but the end is in sight.

To enable us to have the buildings cleared and ready for construction, including classrooms, we will be canceling classes on June 5, 2015 for Broadwater and McKinley students. The final day of classes for both Broadwater and McKinley Schools will be Thursday, June 4th. It will be a full day for both students and staff. We appreciate your understanding of this necessity and are very excited to continue these renovations. (For all other schools, the last day is still Friday, June 5.)

2014-2015 has been a busy construction year at both of these buildings and has caused some disruptions that we typically don’t experience. However, we, in collaboration with our contractors, have done our very best to keep disruptions to a minimum as our students’ safety and learning are our priorities.

In the fall of 2015, we will be “open for business” at both locations, but you will likely see evidence of construction and renovations at both sites. This is all part of the long-term plan, and we thank you in advance for your cooperation as we return to our new normal.

Again, we are so very appreciative of the support of the Billings community, parents, students, and staff as we continue this historic journey in renovating Broadwater and McKinley. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your building principal or me.

Sincerely,

Terry Nelsen Bouck
Superintendent
