ABOUT TD-NET Methods matter! Explore the newly structured td-net toolbox
td-net starts building up an online portal that offers a point of entry
to more widespread methods and tools that support collaboration between
experts and stakeholders from science and practice to tackle societal
challenges. Searchable by typical process phases and key issues, it will
indicate methods offered both in the td-net toolbox and various other
online collections. > Check out the new portal of methods and tools for co-producing knowledge > Participate in exploring more broadly which tasks can be supported by which tools > Send your feedback to td-methods@scnat.ch

Sustainable University Day 2019 – Registrations are now open!
The Sustainable University Day is the annual meeting of the funding program > U Change, which supports student projects and student project incubators for sustainable development. Every year, the Conference brings together students, university leaders, policy makers, non-profit actors and other higher education representatives to discuss how universities are responding to the challenges posed by sustainable development and which concrete measures should be taken. The Sustainable University Day 2019 will be organised on 29 March in Wädenswil in collaboration with the > Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW). > See the program (in German and French) > Register Joining Forces for Change! – ITD 2019 call for contributions
The conference is co-organised by td-net, > Mistra Urban Futures and the > University of Gothenburg and will take place in Gothenburg from 10 to 13 September 2019. The aim of this conference, Joining Forces for Change, is to bring together actors from different professional mandates, disciplines and sectors to engage and discuss on what we can learn from our collaborative experiences, case studies and practices regarding wider societal transformation, methodological innovations and theoretical development. Therefore we want to bring together the growing body of individuals, groups and organisations who are working in different types of collaborative research and change processes, to gauge the state of the art in both research and practice from across sectors and disciplines, and to create an international forum where diverse groups can exchange experiences and learn from each other. Practitioners and researchers are invited to propose contributions. More information on > www.transdisciplinarity.ch/itd2019

NEWS FROM THE COMMUNITY Postdoc Academy for Transformational Leadership
Transforming our ways of living and working towards “more sustainable
societies” is a challenge and requires us to find ways to incorporate
global concerns into everyday decision-making, e.g. in matters of
production, consumption or infrastructure. The second call focuses on
developing perspectives of scale and scaling in the context of
addressing complex sustainability challenges, within and through
research and sustainability initiatives. The program invites
applications of postdoctoral scholars, who already conduct inter- and
transdisciplinary research or see why this would be useful to address
sustainability issues; and who encounter challenges of and with scale
and scaling within their research. Application deadline: 15 March 2019 > More information
ISOE Summer School documentation online With the international Summer School “Brilliant Minds for
Social-Ecological Transformations”, doctoral students of the ISOE –
Institute for Social-Ecological Research (Germany) have developed a
format that offers young academics from very different disciplines the
opportunity to deal with the concepts, methods and the design options of
transdisciplinary research. The documentation and recordings of the
Summer School from 29 July to 3 August 2018 are available > online.
Watch the KFPE short film "Out of Laboratories"
KFPE produced a short film on transboundary research partnerships - 12’40”. „Out of Laboratories: Research Partnerships in a Changing World" also shows the importance of transdisciplinary approaches. How have transboundary research partnerships evolved over the last decades and what are important milestones looking ahead into the future? > See the film
