ITB China, the three-day B2B trade travel show exclusively focused on the Chinese travel market, took place from May 16th to 18th at Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center. This year the international fair attracted more than 700 Tour Operators from about 80 countries and regions, and more than 850 Top Buyers from China. Welcome Chinese took advantage of this big business opportunity to present its many certified members. Among them, Tocq Hotel and Hotel Cosmopolitan Bologna, gained a special visibility attending the fair in person.

On occasion of ITB China, Welcome Chinese presented Bologna Guglielmo Marconi  Airport, one of its most important certified members that received the government recognition from China Tourism Academy after the implementation of the hospitality standards to better welcome Chinese tourists.

同期，在2018年5月17日下午3时许，“欢迎中国”与博洛尼亚古列尔莫马可尼机场（以下称博洛尼亚机场）一道举办了新闻发布会，向中国市场介绍此红级认证商户。   

"Bologna Airport is the fourth European layover airport and the second Italian one to gain the Welcome Chinese certification. We are very proud of the collaboration that led us to this strategic business agreement” - declared Jacopo Sertoli, CEO at Select Holding and Welcome Chinese - "It represents a big step forward towards the development of Chinese tourism in the city of Bologna and in the Emilia Romagna region, making Chinese travellers aware of the excellent business potentialities that characterize the territory. The fact that both Bologna city and the Airport decided to become Welcome Chinese Certified destinations is essential to strengthen their position on the Chinese tourist market, in view of the 2018 EU-China Tourism Year promotional activities."

Mr. Antonello Bonolis, Aviation Business & Corporate Communication Director at Bologna Airport affirmed: "Reaching Bologna from China will allow Chinese tourists to travel more easily within Italy and reach other destinations such as Florence (only 30 minutes away by train, with more than 70 train connections a day), Venice (1h and 25 minutes), Milan (60 minutes) and Rome (less than 2 hours away with 103 train connections a day). Moreover, starting from March 2019, Bologna Airport will only be 7 minutes away from Bologna Central Station thanks to a high speed suspended monorail train. ”

博洛尼亚机场航空业务总监安东内洛•波诺利斯先生说到：“中国游客到意大利旅行，落地博洛尼亚是明智之选，博洛尼亚到佛罗伦萨仅30分钟，每天有70多趟火车；到罗马不超过2小时，每天有103趟列车；到米兰1小时，到威尼斯1小时25分钟。此外，从2019年3月开始，将开通博洛尼亚机场到市中心的直通车，届时从机场到市区只要7分钟。”
