Call for Contributions: Swiss Inter- and Transdisciplinarity Day 2018

The Swiss Inter- and Transdisciplinarity Day 2018 will take place on 15 November 2018 at the EPFL in Lausanne. We are inviting contributions in the form of posters and speed-talks that explore and reflect experiences and visions how digitalisation can be devised for inter- and transdisciplinary research and education in a meaningful way, discuss chances and challenges, and critically reflect what digitalisation means for inter- and transdisciplinary research, teaching and learning. New in the td-net Toolbox: Outcome Spaces Framework

The outcome spaces framework provides a structure to reflect on, and classify participants’ preferred outcomes in a transdisciplinary project in a differentiated way. Three key realms of transdisciplinary outcome spaces are distinguished – situation, knowledge and learning – elaborated as (1) an improvement within the situation or field of inquiry, (2) the generation of relevant stocks and flows of knowledge, including scholarly knowledge and other societal knowledge forms (3) mutual and transformational learning by researchers and research participants to increase the likelihood of persistent change. Do you have a project idea for more sustainability? The funding program U Change supports innovative student projects and student project incubators for sustainable development. Td Summer School 2018: Td & Interculturality

As a follow up of the > ITD Conference 2017, this year’s Td Summer School is focussing on transdisciplinary research at the science-society interface within an intercultural orientation. It takes place at Leuphana University from 2 to 11 September 2018 (Td Training Module: 2-7 Sep, Special Training Module: 10-11 Sep). As a side event, we will run a workshop on transdisciplinary research and sustainability from 11 to 13 September. The aim is to develop an agenda for continuous collaborative research between different world regions to further develop epistemological and methodological foundations and practices of transdisciplinary research and sustainability. Call for abstracts: Leverage Points 2019

The International conference on sustainability research and transformation „Leverage Points 2019" takes place from 6 to 8 February 2019 at the Leuphana University of Lüneburg. Applications for inspiring, provocative and exciting oral and poster presentations are currently being invited. New official society for Science of Team Science

The newly formed International Network for the Science of Team Science (INSciTS) will now be the new official society of the Science of Team Science community. NSciTS will create and facilitate a high-impact community that develops and disseminates an evidence-base to support team science and shapes how research is conducted to solve complex problems.
