International Transdisciplinarity Conference 2019

The conference is co-organised by td-net, > Mistra Urban Futures and the > University of Gothenburg and will take place in Gothenburg from 10 to 13 September 2019. The aim of this conference, Joining Forces for Change, is to bring together actors from different professional mandates, disciplines and sectors to engage and discuss on what we can learn from our collaborative  experiences, case studies and practices regarding wider societal transformation, methodological innovations and theoretical development. Therefore we want to bring together the growing body of individuals, groups and organisations who are working in different types of collaborative research and change processes, to gauge the state of the art in both research and practice from across sectors and disciplines, and to create an international forum where diverse groups can exchange experiences and learn from each other. Sustainable University Day 2019: tropical vibe and lively exchanges!

© Mischa Christen

Organised in collaboration with the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW), the Sustainable University Day 2019 brought together more than 150 students, university leaders, policy makers, non-profit actors and other higher education representatives to discuss how universities are responding to the challenges posed by sustainable development and which concrete measures should be taken. In the morning, captivating presentations offered fantastic inputs to stimulate discussion. The rest of the day was devoted to the interactions between the participants. World Café sessions, guided tours, a networking-lounge, a poster exhibition and finally a participative panel discussion gave great opportunities for exchange and mutual learning. A rich program which kept all its promises!
