We hope this bulletin will keep you up-to-date with topical financial matters that can directly affect you… and your money!
As the referendum on our membership of the European Union draws closer I am reminded of the 1980's band The Clash and their hit record "Should I go or Should I stay?". Whatever your personal view on this subject, it is certain that either outcome will have far reaching consequences not just within the UK, but further afield, across Europe and the rest of the globe.
This is a decision which will not only affect us, but our children and our grandchildren, for many years to come. Currently the population appears to be pretty evenly split on whether we should leave and "plough our own furrow".
Stock markets do not like uncertainty and the prospect of Britain being outside the EU for the first time in over 35 years is causing anxiety within already volatile markets. Thus, the opening months of 2016 have seen a continuation of the volatility that appears to have become the norm in recent times.
As mentioned in previous newsletters, concerns over the slowdown in China's growth and of course, the Syrian refugee crisis, continue to create more uncertainty. Thus, it seems apparent that this year will be no less challenging than last.
Integra are continuing to do our best to minimise volatility within your portfolio, at the same time as striving to produce positive returns.
Never the less, we understand it can be a cause of concern to see your investments moving up and down on a weekly basis. We aim to minimise the more extreme fluctuations via a careful blending of funds which spread your investment across a selection of different asset classes.
We will be in touch shortly to arrange your Annual Review, but in the meantime please bear in mind we are always here to answer your questions and our contact details are below.

Although perhaps not on 16th March, it still seems probable that he will ultimately reduce the levels of higher rate tax relief. We therefore believe you should make the most of what may well be a short-lived opportunity... and enjoy tax relief at up to 45% depending on individual circumstances.
The Government spends £34 billion a year on pension tax relief and there can be little doubt that they will continue to explore ways in which that figure can be offset or decreased. Please contact us as soon as possible should you wish to make any contributions.
