Combining Economic and Political Development

The Experience of MENA, the new special issue of International Development Policy, explores the tensions embedded in economic and political development processes in the Middle East and North Africa. Can democracy succeed? This is one of the key questions that ten scholars and policymakers from the region and beyond address in this issue edited by Giacomo Luciani, Adjunct Professor at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva.

Mountain Research and Development Vol 37, No 1 available online and open access

Geographically, papers present insights from Nepal, China, Thailand, Kyrgyzstan, Poland, Switzerland, Italy, Ecuador, and Colombia.
